Peter Schulting (VolkerWessels Cycling Team) finished third a few seconds later. Tom Van Asbroeck (Israel Premier Tech Academy) was the first Belgian, stranding 41 seconds behind the winner. Van Asbroeck was also the winner of the Proximus mountain prize.
An intermediate sprint was held at each crossing over the top of Denderoordstraat, with 4, 2 and 1 points to be earned each time for the first 3 riders.
